The session will be delivering feedback from a current Citrix customer, reflecting his experiences with two successful delivered POCs for Workspace ONE UEM and Horizon Enterprise. The customer will present the conceptual approach, how a comparison between the existing Citrix infrastructure and a VMware based modern workplace approach, can be achieved. Lesson learned from both POCs will be shared from the customer side, as well from the VMware side. We will provide the attendees a clear overview how to transform their current workplace, to a future prove workplace and how VMware can help to achieve that goal. From the technical side we will cover the whole Workspace ONE architecture including the Horizon non-persistent desktop approach in a clear and ease to understandable manner.

Due to this multi-Year experience in different areas Andreas has excellent cross silo knowledge. At the moment, he is working in the Composable Infrastructure and Hybrid IT arena. VMware: Event-driven interactions with vSphere using Functions as a Service
This demo shows how vSphere-Interactions can be done with an event-driven approach by using Functions-as-a-Service. A self-made dashboard in vRealize Operations is configured with a Dynamic Custom Group which is using vSphere-Tag as a Membership Criteria. Virtual Container Hosts, the Resource Pool of the construct, will be automatically tagged with those vSphere-Tag during the creation process – when the event appears in the vCenter Server.
