VMware: vSphere HA and DRS Hybrid Cloud Deep
VMware Cloud on AWS enables customers to run production applications across VMware vSphere based private, public, and hybrid cloud environments. A fundamental differentiator of VMware Cloud on AWS is that it provides operational consistency between the on-premises and cloud environments. Although the same tool and skill set can be used to operate both environments, each environment has its unique service delivery. In this session Duncan and Frank cover HA and DRS functionality of on-premises and in-cloud SDDC environments in great detail. The session will cover some of the latest changes to on-prem HA and DRS. It provides a peek behind the curtain of the in-cloud varients of HA and DRS and how the scalability and elasticity of AWS infrastructure can provide functionality that is unrivaled by on-prem environments.

Community: ''Production'' home Kubernetes on vSphere
This session sounds like purely home-lab geek-foolery! Except that it isn't - when my media server goes down, or my my wife can't turn the air conditioning on, it's a problem! So, this is the story of how I set about running services for my home on Kubernetes. About how it evolved from a single docker host, to a highly available, load balanced, ingress routed set of services. Overkill? You decide...

Dell EMC: VxRail 'What we do in Engineering so that you don’t have to'
During this session we will cover how deploying VxRail leverages the power of VMWare’s VSAN to give you a curated appliance experience. We will focus on the scale of the engineering efforts involved to bring consistent engineered ‘known good states’ of the hardware and software stack delivering an appliance experience to already proven VSAN technology. We will explore some key features of VxRail and demonstrate why VxRail is the ideal platform for both VMWare Cloud Foundation and why VxRail is the foundation for VMC on Dell.

Space – so what?
Since the birth of the Space Age in 1957 with the launch of the world’s first satellite, the discoveries made through applications of space science and engineering have changed humanity’s perspectives of our position in the universe. But what difference has space science and technology made to our everyday lives? Has it really been worth all of the money spent? Could space science save us from mass extinctions of life on our home planet? What science was British astronaut Tim Peake doing on the International Space Station (ISS) during his six month mission there in 2015-16? And will Mars ever be a future home for the human race?
