VMware: VMware Cloud on AWS - An Availability and Elasticity primer
VMware Cloud on AWS enables customers to run production applications across VMware vSphere based private, public, and hybrid cloud environments. A fundamental differentiator of VMware Cloud on AWS is that it provides operational consistency between the on-premises and cloud environments. Although the same tool and skill set can be used to operate both environments, each environment has its unique service delivery. In this session Duncan and Frank cover HA and DRS functionality of on-premises and in-cloud SDDC environments in great detail. The session will cover some of the latest changes to on-prem HA and DRS. It provides a peek behind the curtain of the in-cloud varients of HA and DRS and how the scalability and elasticity of AWS infrastructure can provide functionality that is unrivaled by on-prem environments.

Druva: Are you all in with cloud data protection?
A recent ESG survey confirmed that 87% of enterprises indicated they use cloud for backup of on-premise data in addition to protecting their cloud-native data. What these organizations seek is to leverage cloud’s scale and cost efficiency; yet by only using the cloud for backup, they restrict cloud’s value with legacy data protection solutions. Druva’s cloud-native solution better aligns to any cloud-based data protection strategy. Attend this workshop to understand how to: ? Manage and protect all your VMware environments with Druva’s differentiated cloud-first approach ? Eliminate complexity with an automated, single-click disaster recovery across cloud, hybrid and on-premises workloads ? Space – so what?
Since the birth of the Space Age in 1957 with the launch of the world’s first satellite, the discoveries made through applications of space science and engineering have changed humanity’s perspectives of our position in the universe. But what difference has space science and technology made to our everyday lives? Has it really been worth all of the money spent? Could space science save us from mass extinctions of life on our home planet? What science was British astronaut Tim Peake doing on the International Space Station (ISS) during his six month mission there in 2015-16? And will Mars ever be a future home for the human race?
